Sukta 4.3
त्वं चिन्नः शम्या अग्ने अस्या ऋतस्य बोध्यृतचित्स्वाधीः । कदा त उक्था सधमाद्यानि कदा भवन्ति सख्या गृहे ते ॥
tvaṃ cín naḥ śámyā agne asyā́ ṛtásya bodhy ṛta-cit sv-ādhīḥ | kadā́ ta ukthā́ sadha-mā́dyāni kadā́ bhavanti sakhyā́ gṛhé te ||
हे अग्ने, शम्या (समिधा/काष्ठ) पासूनही—आमच्यासाठी—या ऋत (ऋतस्य) नियमाचा बोध कर; हे ऋतचित् (ऋत‑ज्ञ), स्वाधीः (सुसमज‑सद्भाव) होऊन। कधी तुझे उक्थ (प्रेरित स्तोत्र) आणि सधमाद्य (सह‑आनंद/सह‑पान) येतील? कधी तुझ्या घरी सख्य (मैत्री) उत्पन्न होईल?
