पाति प्रियं रिपो अग्रं पदं वेः पाति यह्वश्चरणं सूर्यस्य । पाति नाभा सप्तशीर्षाणमग्निः पाति देवानामुपमादमृष्वः ॥
pā́ti priyáṃ ripó ágraṃ padáṃ véḥ pā́ti yáhvaś cáraṇaṃ sū́ryasya | pā́ti nā́bhā saptáśīrṣāṇam agníḥ pā́ti devā́nām upa-mā́dam ṛ́ṣvaḥ ||
तो आक्रमकापासून प्रिय, अग्र पद (स्थान) जपतो; यह्व (महाबल) सूर्याचा चरण/मार्ग जपतो. अग्नी नाभि—सप्तशीर्ष (सात-शिरांची शक्ति)—जपतो; उंच (ऋष्व) देवांचा उपमाद (निकट-आनंद, यज्ञरस) जपतो.
