दैव्या होतारा प्रथमा न्यृञ्जे सप्त पृक्षासः स्वधया मदन्ति । ऋतं शंसन्त ऋतमित्त आहुरनु व्रतं व्रतपा दीध्यानाः ॥

daivyā́ hótārā prathamā́ ny ṛ́ñje saptá pṛkṣā́saḥ svadháyā madanti | ṛtáṃ śáṃsanta ṛtám ít tá āhuḥ ánu vratáṃ vrata-pā́ dīdhyā́nāḥ ||

दैवी होतृ-पुरोहित सर्वप्रथम येऊन आसन घेतात; स्वधा/स्वधर्मात सात बलवान (ऋषि-शक्ती) आनंदित होतात. ते ऋताचा घोष करतात, ‘ऋतच’ असेच म्हणतात; व्रताचे रक्षक, व्रताचा अनुक्रम धरून, दीप्त साधनेत प्रज्वलित राहतात.
