Sukta 3.33
ओ षु स्वसारः कारवे शृणोत ययौ वो दूरादनसा रथेन । नि षू नमध्वं भवता सुपारा अधोअक्षाः सिन्धवः स्रोत्याभिः ॥
ó ṣú svasāraḥ kāráve śṛṇota yayáu vo dūrā́d anasā́ ráthena | ní ṣū namadhvaṃ bhávatā supārā́ adho-akṣā́ḥ síndhavaḥ srotyā́bhiḥ ||
ओ भगिनींनो (नद्यांनो), कवीचा हाक ऐका; तो दूरवरून बैलगाडी व रथ घेऊन तुमच्याकडे आला आहे. नम्र होऊन, कृपेनं वाट द्या; सु-पार—सहज पार होण्यासारख्या—व्हा, हे सिंधवः (धारा); तुमचे प्रवाह अक्ष (चाकाच्या धुरी) इतक्या खोलीपर्यंत खाली वाहू देत.
