Sukta 2.23
त्वया वयं सुवृधा ब्रह्मणस्पते स्पार्हा वसु मनुष्या ददीमहि । या नो दूरे तळितो या अरातयोऽभि सन्ति जम्भया ता अनप्नसः ॥
tváyā vayáṃ su-vṛ́dhā brahmaṇas-pate spā́rhā vásu manuṣyā́ dadīmahi | yā́ no dūré táḷito yā́ arā́tayo 'bhí sánti jambháyā tā́ anapnásaḥ ||
हे ब्रह्मणस्पते, सुवृद्धा (सु-रीतीने वाढविणाऱ्या)! तुझ्यासह आम्ही स्पार्हा मानुष्य वसु—इच्छित मानवी संपत्ती—प्राप्त करू. जे दूरून आघात करतात आणि जी अरातयः (शत्रुता) आमच्यावर दडपण आणते—तिला जंभय (चिरड) दे; ती अनप्नसः—निष्फळ व निष्कर्म—होवो।
