Sukta 2.2
ये स्तोतृभ्यो गोअग्रामश्वपेशसमग्ने रातिमुपसृजन्ति सूरयः । अस्माञ्च ताँश्च प्र हि नेषि वस्य आ बृहद्वदेम विदथे सुवीराः ॥
yé stotṛ́bhyo gó-agrām áśva-peśasam agne rātím upasṛjánti sū́rayaḥ | asmā́ṃś ca tā́ṃś ca prá hí néṣi vásyaḥ ā́ bṛhád vadema vidáthē su-vī́rāḥ ||
जे सूरी (प्रकाशमान दाते) स्तोत्रकर्त्यांसाठी दान मुक्त करतात—ज्यात प्रकाशरश्मी अग्रभागी आहेत आणि जे अश्वबलाने आवृत आहे—हे अग्ने, त्यांनाही आणि आम्हालाही, दोघांनाही, श्रेष्ठ कल्याणाकडे पुढे ने. आम्ही विदथे (यज्ञसभेत) सु-वीर (अंतःशौर्ययुक्त) होऊन बृहद् (विस्तीर्ण महत्तत्त्व) वाणी उच्चारू.
