Sukta 2.12
यः सुन्वन्तमवति यः पचन्तं यः शंसन्तं यः शशमानमूती । यस्य ब्रह्म वर्धनं यस्य सोमो यस्येदं राधः स जनास इन्द्रः ॥
yaḥ sunvantam avati yaḥ pacantaṃ yaḥ śaṃsantaṃ yaḥ śaśamānam ūtī | yasya brahma vardhanaṃ yasya somo yasyedaṃ rādhaḥ sa janāsa indraḥ ||
जो सोम पिळणाऱ्याचे रक्षण करतो, जो हवि शिजवणाऱ्याचे रक्षण करतो; जो स्तुती करणाऱ्याचे रक्षण करतो, जो आपल्या ऊतीने संयम साधणाऱ्याचे रक्षण करतो। ज्याचे वर्धन ब्रह्म (प्रेरित वाणी) आहे, ज्याचा सोम आहे, ज्याचे हे राधस् (समृद्धि) आहे—हे जनहो, तोच इंद्र आहे।
