Sukta 2.1
त्वमग्ने द्युभिस्त्वमाशुशुक्षणिस्त्वमद्भ्यस्त्वमश्मनस्परि । त्वं वनेभ्यस्त्वमोषधीभ्यस्त्वं नृणां नृपते जायसे शुचिः ॥
tvám agne dyúbhis tvám āśuśukṣáṇis tvám adbhyás tvám áśmanas pári | tváṃ vanébhyas tvám óṣadhībhyas tváṃ nṛṇā́ṃ nṛ́pate jāyase śúciḥ ||
हे अग्ने, तू द्युलोकातील तेजातून जन्मतोस; तू शीघ्र प्रज्वलित करणारा आहेस. तू जलांतूनही, दगडातूनही उत्पन्न होतोस. तू वनांतून, औषधींमधून जन्मतोस; हे नृणां नृपते, मनुष्यांचा अधिपती, तू आमच्यात शुद्ध ज्वाला होऊन प्रकट होतोस.
