यस्यानाप्तः सूर्यस्येव यामो भरेभरे वृत्रहा शुष्मो अस्ति । वृषन्तमः सखिभिः स्वेभिरेवैर्मरुत्वान्नो भवत्विन्द्र ऊती ॥
yásyānā́ptaḥ sū́ryasyeva yā́mo bháre-bhare vṛtrahā́ śúṣmo ásti | vṛ́ṣantamaḥ sákhibhiḥ svébhir évair marútvān no bhavatu índra ūtī́ ||
ज्याचा प्रवास सूर्याप्रमाणे अडथळारहित आहे, आणि ज्याचा वृत्रहंता ‘शुष्म’ (पराक्रम) प्रत्येक प्रत्येक झटापटीत उपस्थित असतो—तो वृषभ-तुल्य, आपल्या स्वसख्यांसह आणि आपल्या वेगवान मरुत्-शक्तीसह, तो इंद्र आमची ‘ऊति’ (रक्षा-सहाय्य) होवो.
