पादुकाप्रदानं भरतस्य निवृत्तिश्च
The Sandals Bestowed; Bharata’s Return Toward Ayodhya
स तमाश्रममागम्य भरद्वाजस्य बुद्धिमान्।अवतीर्य रथात्पादौ ववन्दे भरतस्तदा।।।।
sa tam āśramam āgamya bharadvājasya buddhimān | avatīrya rathāt pādau vavande bharatas tadā ||
तो आश्रम गाठून बुद्धिमान भरत रथातून उतरला आणि तेव्हा भरद्वाज मुनींच्या चरणांना वंदन केले।
On seeing the city of Ayodhya bereft of his father and brothers, Bharata, consumed with grief, said to the charioteer:
Dharma is enacted through humility and honoring spiritual authority: a prince dismounts and bows, affirming that power is subordinate to truth and wisdom.
Bharata arrives at Bharadvāja’s hermitage and performs respectful obeisance.
