दिवो नाभा विचक्षणोऽव्यो वारे महीयते । सोमो यः सुक्रतुः कविः ॥
Transliteration
divó nā́bhā vicakṣaṇó ’vyó vā́re mahīyate | sómo yáḥ sukrátuḥ kavíḥ ||
Translation
ದಿವ್ಯದ ನಾಭಿಯಿಂದ, ವಿಚಕ್ಷಣ—ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟದರ್ಶಿ—ಸೋಮನು ಅವಿಯ (ಉಣ್ಣೆ) ಶೋಧಕದ ಪ್ರವಾಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಾಗಿ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಸುಕ್ರತು—ಯುಕ್ತ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಯ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವಂತ—ಕವಿ (ಋಷಿ-ಕವಿ) ಆಗಿರುವ ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಹಾನ್ ಆಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
