अभि ते मधुना पयोऽथर्वाणो अशिश्रयुः । देवं देवाय देवयु ॥

abhí te mádhunā páyo átharvāṇo aśiśrayuḥ | deváṃ devā́ya deva-yú ||

ಮಧುರ ಮಧುವಿನಿಂದ ಮಿಶ್ರಿತ ಪಯಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅಥರ್ವಣರು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಆಸರೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದೇವನು ದೇವನ ಕಡೆಗೆ—ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವವನು (ದೇವಯು) ಅರ್ಪಿತನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
