सोमो मीढ्वान्पवते गातुवित्तम ऋषिर्विप्रो विचक्षणः । त्वं कविरभवो देववीतम आ सूर्यं रोहयो दिवि ॥
Transliteration
sómō mīḍhvā́n pavate gātuvít-tamaḥ ṛ́ṣir vípro vi-cákṣaṇaḥ | tváṃ kavír abhavo deva-vī́tamaḥ ā́ sū́ryaṃ rohayo diví ||
Translation
ದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೃದ್ಧನಾದ ಸೋಮನು ಪವಿತ್ರನಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು—ಋಷಿ, ವಿಪ್ರ, ವಿಶಾಲದರ್ಶಿ. ನೀನು ಕವಿಯಾಗಿರುವೆ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಿಯ; ನೀನು ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನು ದ್ಯೌನಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಹಣಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತೀ.
