Sukta 7.80
एषा स्या नव्यमायुर्दधाना गूढ्वी तमो ज्योतिषोषा अबोधि । अग्र एति युवतिरह्रयाणा प्राचिकितत्सूर्यं यज्ञमग्निम् ॥
eṣā́ syā́ návyam ā́yur dádhānā gūḍhvī́ támo jyótiṣoṣā́ abodhi | ágre eti yuvatír áhrayāṇā prá acikitat sū́ryaṃ yajñám agním ||
ಈ ಉಷಸ್ಸು ನವೀನ ಆಯುಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಜಾಗೃತಳಾದಳು; ತನ್ನ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಯಿಂದ ತಮಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಪ್ರಬೋಧಿತಳಾದಳು. ಅಗ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶ್ರಾಂತವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗುವ ಯುವತಿ ಕನ್ಯೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ; ಮತ್ತು ಅವಳು ನಮಗೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನೂ, ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನೂ, ಅಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನೂ—ಅಗ್ರಸ್ಥ ದೈವೀ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವನ್ನೂ—ಮುಂದೆ ಕಾಣುವಂತೆ ಅರಿವುಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
