Sukta 7.47
आपो यं वः प्रथमं देवयन्त इन्द्रपानमूर्मिमकृण्वतेळः । तं वो वयं शुचिमरिप्रमद्य घृतप्रुषं मधुमन्तं वनेम ॥
ā́po yáṃ vaḥ prathamáṃ deva-yánta indrā́-pānam ūrmím akṛṇvata īḷáḥ | táṃ vo vayáṃ śúcim ariprám adyá ghṛtá-pruṣaṃ mádhu-mantaṃ vanema ||
ಹೇ ಆಪಃ (ಜಲದೇವಿಯರೇ), ದೇವಯಂತರು—ದೇವವನ್ನು ಆಶಿಸುವವರು—ಇಂದ್ರನ ಪಾನವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಿದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೊದಲ ಊರ್ಮಿ (ಅಲೆ)ಯನ್ನೇ ನಾವು ಇಂದು ಪಡೆಯಲಿ: ಶುಚಿ, ನಿರ್ದೋಷ, ಘೃತಪ್ರುಷ (ಘೃತದಂತೆ ಝರಿಯುವ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ), ಮಧುಮಂತ (ಮಧುರ ರಸದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ), ನಮ್ಮ ಅಂತರ್ಯಾಗಕ್ಕಾಗಿ.
