या पृतनासु दुष्टरा या वाजेषु श्रवाय्या । या पञ्च चर्षणीरभीन्द्राग्नी ता हवामहे ॥

Transliteration

yā́ pṛ́tanāsu duṣṭárā yā́ vā́jeṣu śravā́yyā | yā́ páñca carṣaṇī́r abhī́ndrāgnī tā́ havāmahe ||

Translation

ಯುದ್ಧಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಟಲಾಗದದು, ಬಲದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯ ಶ್ರವಣವನ್ನು ತರುವದು, ಮತ್ತು ಐದು ಚರ್ಷಣಿಗಳು (ಐದು ಜನ) ಎದುರು ನಿಂತು ಅವರನ್ನು ಎತ್ತುವದು—ಅಂತಹ ಇಂದ್ರಾ-ಅಗ್ನಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ವಿಜಯೀ ಬಲವಾಗಿಯೂ ಋತದ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿಯೂ ಆಗಿ, ಒಳಗಿನ ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿರಿ.
