Sukta 5.31
आ प्र द्रव हरिवो मा वि वेनः पिशङ्गराते अभि नः सचस्व । नहि त्वदिन्द्र वस्यो अन्यदस्त्यमेनाँश्चिज्जनिवतश्चकर्थ ॥
ā́ prá drava harivo mā́ ví vénaḥ piśáṅgarāte abhí naḥ sacasva | nahí tvád índra vásyo anyád ásty amémāṃś cit jánivataś cakartha ||
ಓ ಹರಿವೋ (ಹರಿತ ಅಶ್ವಗಳ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ), ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಿ ಬಾ; ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ವಿಮುಖನಾಗಬೇಡ. ಓ ಪಿಶಂಗರಾತೇ (ಪ್ರಕಾಶದ ದಾತ), ನಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ ಸೇರಿ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಓ ಇಂದ್ರ, ನಿನ್ನಿಗಿಂತ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಮತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ; ದುರ್ಬಲರೂ ಅಲುಗಾಡುವವರನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ಪುನರ್ಜನ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮರ್ಥರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ.
