Sukta 4.16
अव स्य शूराध्वनो नान्तेऽस्मिन्नो अद्य सवने मन्दध्यै । शंसात्युक्थमुशनेव वेधाश्चिकितुषे असुर्याय मन्म ॥
áva sya śūrā́dhvano nā́nte’ asmín no adyá sávane mandadhyái | śáṃsāty u̱kthám uśánāiva vedhā́ś cikitúṣe asuryā́ya mánma ||
ಇಂದು ಈ ಸವನದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮಂದತೆ-ಆನಂದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಶೂರನು ಈ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಕೊರತೆಯಾಗದಿರಲಿ. ಉಶನನಂತೆ ವೇಧಾ (ಜ್ಞಾತ) ಉಕ್ಥ-ಸ್ತುತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಚ್ಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಚಿಕಿತುಷೆ (ವಿವೇಕಿಗೆ) ಪ್ರೇರಿತ ಮನ್ಮ, ಆತ್ಮಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಅಸುರ್ಯಾ (ಪ್ರಭುತ್ವಮಯ ಶಕ್ತಿ)ಗಾಗಿ.
