Sukta 3.30
सहदानुं पुरुहूत क्षियन्तमहस्तमिन्द्र सं पिणक्कुणारुम् । अभि वृत्रं वर्धमानं पियारुमपादमिन्द्र तवसा जघन्थ ॥
sahádānuṃ puruhūta kṣiyántam ahástam indra sáṃ piṇak kúṇārum | abhí vṛtráṃ várdhamānaṃ piyā́rum apā́dam indra távasā jaghántha ||
ಹೇ ಪುರುಹೂತ ಇಂದ್ರನೇ! ನೀನು ಸಹದಾನು—ಕೂಣಾರು, ಕ್ಷಯಗೊಳ್ಳುವವನು, ಕೈರಹಿತನು—ಅವನನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಚೂರುಮೂರಾಗಿಸಿದೆ. ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವೃತ್ರನನ್ನು—ಉಬ್ಬಿದ ಅಂಧಕಾರಮಯ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಧವನ್ನು—ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ತವಸಿನಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದೆ; ಅವನು ಪಾದರಹಿತನು, ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಲಿಸಲಾರನು.
