अग्ने यजिष्ठो अध्वरे देवान्देवयते यज । होता मन्द्रो वि राजस्यति स्रिधः ॥
Transliteration
agné yájiṣṭho adhvaré devā́n devayaté yaja | hótā mandró ví rājasy áti srídhaḥ ||
Translation
ಹೇ ಅಗ್ನೇ, ಯಜಿಷ್ಠ—ಯಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ—ಅಧ್ವರದಲ್ಲಿ (ಯಜ್ಞದಲ್ಲಿ) ದೇವಯತೇ (ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವ ಉಪಾಸಕ)ಗಾಗಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಯಜಿಸು. ಆನಂದಮಯ ಹೋತೃನಾಗಿ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸು; ಸ್ರಿಧಃ (ಅಡ್ಡಿಗಳು)ಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಹೋಗು.
