Sukta 2.31
एता वो वश्म्युद्यता यजत्रा अतक्षन्नायवो नव्यसे सम् । श्रवस्यवो वाजं चकानाः सप्तिर्न रथ्यो अह धीतिमश्याः ॥
etā́ vo vaśmy údyatā yajatrā́ átakṣann ā́yavo návyase sám | śravasyávo vā́jaṃ cakānā́ḥ saptír ná rathyó áha dhī́tim aśyāḥ ||
ಹೇ ಯಜತ್ರ (ಪೂಜ್ಯ) ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳೇ, ಈ ವಚನಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಿ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎತ್ತಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಋಷಿಗಳು ಅವನ್ನು ನವ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಸುಸಮ್ಮತಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶ್ರವಸ್ಯ (ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವ)ವರಾಗಿ, ವಾಜ (ಬಲ-ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ)ವನ್ನು ಕೋರಿಕೊಂಡು, ನಾವು ಧೀತಿ (ಪ್ರೇರಿತ ಚಿಂತನೆ)ಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯೋಣ—ಯಾತ್ರಾಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವೇಗಿಸುವ, ರಥಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದ, ಸುಯೋಜಿತ ಅಶ್ವದಂತೆ.
