Sukta 2.18
न म इन्द्रेण सख्यं वि योषदस्मभ्यमस्य दक्षिणा दुहीत । उप ज्येष्ठे वरूथे गभस्तौ प्रायेप्राये जिगीवांसः स्याम ॥
ná me índreṇa sakhyáṃ ví yoṣad asmábhyam asya dákṣiṇā duhīta | úpa jyéṣṭhe várūthe gábhastau prāyé-prāye jigīvā́ṃsaḥ syāma ||
ಇಂದ್ರನೊಡನೆಯ ನನ್ನ ಸಖ್ಯವು ಮುರಿಯದಿರಲಿ; ಅವನ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಾ—ಧರ್ಮಪೂರ್ವಕ ದಾನಶಕ್ತಿ—ನಮಗಾಗಿ ಹಾಲನ್ನು ದೋಹಿಸಲಿ. ಜ್ಯೇಷ್ಠ, ಪರಮ ವರೂಥ (ರಕ್ಷಣೆ)ದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವನ ಗಭಸ್ತಿ (ಹಸ್ತ/ಪಿಡಿ)ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೀಪವಾಗಿ ಧರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪ್ರಯಾಣ-ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮುಂದಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಮರುಮರು ಜಯಿಸುವವರಾಗಿರೋಣ.
