यद्देवापिः शंतनवे पुरोहितो होत्राय वृतः कृपयन्नदीधेत् । देवश्रुतं वृष्टिवनिं रराणो बृहस्पतिर्वाचमस्मा अयच्छत् ॥

Transliteration

yád devā́piḥ śáṃtanave puróhito hótrāya vṛtáḥ kṛpáyann ádīḍhet | deva-śrútaṃ vṛṣṭi-vánim rárāṇo bṛ́haspátir vā́cam asmā ayacchat ||

Translation

ಶಂತನುವಿಗೆ ಪುರೋಹಿತನಾಗಿ ವರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ದೇವಾಪಿಯು ಕೃಪಾಭಾವದಿಂದ ಹೋತ್ರಕರ್ಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲಿಸಿದಾಗ, ದೇವಶ್ರುತ—ವೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತರುವ—ವಾಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹರ್ಷಿಸಿ ಬೃಹಸ್ಪತಿಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಾಕ್ ಅನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನು.
