वि यत्तिरो धरुणमच्युतं रजोऽतिष्ठिपो दिव आतासु बर्हणा । स्वर्मीळ्हे यन्मद इन्द्र हर्ष्याहन्वृत्रं निरपामौब्जो अर्णवम् ॥

ví yát tiró dharúṇam ácyutaṃ rájo ’tíṣṭhipo divá ātā́su barháṇā | svàrmīḷhe yán máda índra hárṣyā́han vṛtráṃ nír apā́m aubjó arṇavám ||

ನೀನು ಅಚಲವಾದ, ಅಚ್ಯುತ ಧರುಣವನ್ನು ಮೀರಿಹಾರಿ, ಬರ್ಹಣ (ಉನ್ನತಿಗೊಳಿಸುವ) ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ರಜಃ (ಮಧ್ಯಲೋಕ)ವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿದಾಗ; ಆಗ ಸ್ವರ್ಮೀಳ್ಹೆ—ಸ್ವರ (ಪ್ರಕಾಶ)ವನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲಿಸುವ—ಆ ಮದದಲ್ಲಿ, ಹೇ ಇಂದ್ರ, ನೀನು ಹರ್ಷದಿಂದ ವೃತ್ರನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದುರುಳಿಸಿ, ಅಪಾಂ ಅರ್ಣವಂ (ಜಲಗಳ ಸಾಗರ-ಪ್ರವಾಹ)ವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹರಿಯಲು ಬಿಡಿದೆ.
