dṛṣṭaṃ tad dhi tvayā rāma yādṛśaṃ tvat-pravāsane | prajānāṃ saṅkulaṃ vṛttaṃ tvac-choka-klānta-cetasām ||

Translation

ಹೇ ರಾಮ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಸ್ಥಾನದ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗಿತ್ತು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಕಂಡೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಶೋಕದಿಂದ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಕ್ಲಾಂತಗೊಂಡ ಪ್ರಜ들의 ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಗೊಂದಲಮಯವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಕುಲವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
