ಅಥರ್ವವೇದ 6.57 ಒಂದು ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಜಲ-ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾಮಂತ್ರ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಚುಚ್ಚುವ ಪೀಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ರುದ್ರನ “ಬಾಣಗಳು” ಎಂದು ಕಂಡು, ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತ ಔಷಧೀಯ ಜಲ (ಜಾಲಾಷ)ದಿಂದ ಅವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಹತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಪುನಃಪುನಃ ಛಿಟಕಿಸುವ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತಿಮ ಸರ್ವವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದ ಮೂಲಕ, ಈ ಸ್ತುತಿ ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ನೋವಿನಿಂದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ, ಭೂಮಿಯೂ ಜಲಗಳೂ ತಾವೇ ಭೇಷಜ (ಔಷಧ/ಪರಿಹಾರ)ವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಆವರಿಸುವ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

जलचिकित्सा। इ॒दमिद् वा उ॑ भेष॒जमि॒दं रु॒द्रस्य॑ भेष॒जम्। येनेषु॒मेक॑तेजनां श॒तश॑ल्यामप॒ब्रव॑त्
ಇದೇ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಔಷಧಿ—ಇದೇ ರುದ್ರನ ಔಷಧಿ—ಇದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣ-ಅಗ್ರ, ನೂರು ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳಿರುವ ಬಾಣವನ್ನು ದೂರ ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

जा॒ला॒षेणा॒भि षि॑ञ्चत जालाषेणोप॑ सिञ्चत । जा॒ला॒षमु॒ग्रं भे॑ष॒जं तेन॑ नो मृड जी॒वसे॑
ಜಾಲಾಷಾ ದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಿಂಪಡಿಸಿರಿ; ಜಾಲಾಷಾ ದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯೇ ಸಿಂಪಡಿಸಿರಿ. ಜಾಲಾಷಾ ಉಗ್ರವಾದ ಔಷಧಿ; ಅದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಜೀವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕರುಣಿಸಿರಿ.

शं च॑ नो॒ मय॑श्च नो॒ मा च॑ नः॒ किं च॒नाम॑मत्। क्ष॒मा रपो॒ विश्वं॑ नो अस्तु भेष॒जं सर्वं॑ नो अस्तु भेष॒जम्
ನಮಗೆ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣವಾಗಲಿ, ನಮಗೆ ಆನಂದವಾಗಲಿ; ಮತ್ತು ನಮಗೆ ಏನೂ ಸಹ ಹಾನಿ ಮಾಡದಿರಲಿ. ಕ್ಷಮಾ (ಪೃಥ್ವಿ) ಮತ್ತು ಆಪಃ (ಜಲಗಳು)—ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನಮಗೆ ಔಷಧಿಯಾಗಲಿ; ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನಮಗೆ ಔಷಧಿಯಾಗಲಿ.
