This short Indra hymn praises the god’s newly awakened presence among the active “doers of the work,” who approach him to partake of heroic power (suvīrya). It recalls Indra’s classic cosmic feats—slaying Vṛtra, widening the mid-space, and propping up heaven—then culminates in declaring him the overmastering force who surpasses all beings by ojas (concentrated might). The hymn’s purpose is to invoke Indra’s victorious energy for protection, strength, and successful accomplishment.

ईङ्खयन्तीरपस्युव इन्द्रं जातमुपासते । भेजानासः सुवीर्यम् ॥
जो लोग काम में लगे हैं वो आगे बढ़ते हैं। वो इंद्र के पास जाते हैं जो उनमें नया जन्म लेता है। इंद्र की ताकत उनमें आती है और वो उसे अपना लेते हैं।

त्वमिन्द्र बलादधि सहसो जात ओजसः । त्वं वृषन्वृषेदसि ॥
इंद्र, तू ताकत से पैदा हुआ है। और उस ताकत से भी बड़ी ताकत से। तू वो बैल है जिसमें बैल जैसी ताकत बसती है।

त्वमिन्द्रासि वृत्रहा व्यन्तरिक्षमतिरः । उद्द्यामस्तभ्ना ओजसा ॥
इंद्र, तू वो है जिसने वृत्र को मारा। तू बीच वाली दुनिया को फैला के आगे बढ़ गया। अपनी ताकत से तूने ऊपर वाला आसमान पकड़ के रखा है।

त्वमिन्द्र सजोषसमर्कं बिभर्षि बाह्वोः । वज्रं शिशान ओजसा ॥
हे इंद्र, तुम अपनी दोनों बाहों में वो मंत्र पकड़े हो जो सच के साथ चलता है। तुम अपनी ताकत से वज्र को तेज़ करते हो। यह वज्र अंदर की लड़ाई के लिए ताकत बन जाता है।

त्वमिन्द्राभिभूरसि विश्वा जातान्योजसा । स विश्वा भुव आभवः ॥
इंद्र, तुम सबसे बड़ी ताकत हो। तुम अपनी एनर्जी से जो भी पैदा हुआ है सबसे आगे निकल जाते हो। तुम सारी दुनिया का आधार बन जाते हो और सब पे राज करते हो।
