तुभ्येदि॒मा सव॑ना शूर॒ विश्वा॒ तुभ्यं॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि॒ वर्ध॑ना कृणोमि । त्वं नृभि॒र्हव्यो॑ वि॒श्वधा॑सि
हे वीर, ये सब सोम की जूसिंग तुम्हारे लिए है। मैं तुम्हारे लिए ऐसे मंत्र बना रहा हूँ जो तुम्हे स्ट्रांग करें। लोगों में तुम ही सबसे ज़्यादा बुलाए जाते हो, हर काम में तुम्हारा नाम लिया जाता है।

नू चि॒न्नु ते॒ मन्य॑मानस्य द॒स्मोद॑श्नुवन्ति महि॒मान॑मुग्र । न वीर्यऽमिन्द्र ते॒ न राधः॑
हे इंद्र, तू कितना भी बड़ा समझे, कोई भी तेरी ताकत के बराबर नहीं पहुँच सकता। तेरा बल कम नहीं होता, ना ही तेरा देना कम होता है। तू वीरों में सबसे बड़ा है, और तेरी महिमा कभी कम नहीं होती।

प्र वो॑ म॒हे म॑हि॒वृधे॑ भरध्वं॒ प्रचे॑तसे॒ प्र सु॑म॒तिं कृ॑णुध्वम्। विशः॑ पू॒र्वीः प्र च॑रा चर्षणि॒प्राः
सब मिलकर इंद्र की बड़ाई करो, जो बड़े को और बड़ा करता है। उस बुधिमान के लिए अच्छा आशीर्वाद दो। तुम पुराने वंश के लोग हो, आगे बढ़ो और मनुष्यों को साथ लेकर चलो।

य॒दा वज्रं॒ हिर॑ण्य॒मिदथा॒ रथं॒ हरी॒ यम॑स्य॒ वह॑तो॒ वि सू॒रिभिः॑ । आ ति॑ष्ठति म॒घवा॒ सन॑श्रुत॒ इन्द्रो॒ वाज॑स्य दी॒र्घश्र॑वस॒स्पतिः॑
जब इंद्र अपना सोना वज्र उठाता है, और अपनी रथ में बैठता है, उसके दो घोड़े उसे ले जाते हैं। वो पुराने नाम वाला इंद्र, इनाम का मालिक, वहाँ खड़ा होता है। लोग उसकी महिमा गाते हैं।

सो चि॒न्नु वृ॒ष्टिर्यू॒थ्या॒३ स्वा सचां॒ इन्द्रः॒ श्मश्रू॑णि॒ हरि॑ता॒भि प्रु॑ष्णुते । अव॑ वेति सु॒क्षयं॑ सु॒ते मधूदिद् धू॑णोति॒ वातो॒ यथा॒ वन॑म्
इंद्र बारिश के मौसम में अपनी सेना के साथ आता है। उसके घोड़े पीली चमक देते हैं। वो अच्छी जगह पे जल्दी पहुँचता है, सोमा पी के मीठा रस निकालता है, जैसे हवा जंगल को हिला देती है।

यो वा॒चा विवा॑चो मृ॒ध्रवा॑चः पु॒रू स॒हस्राशि॑वा ज॒घान॑ । तत्त॒दिद॑स्य॒ पौंस्यं॑ गृणीमसि पि॒तेव॒ यस्तवि॑षीं वावृ॒धे शवः॑
वो शक्ति जिसने अपनी बात से दुश्मनों को हराया। वो लोग बहुत थे, उनके पास हज़ारों हथियार थे, फिर भी वो हार गए। हम उस शक्ति की तारीफ करते हैं। वो एक बाप की तरह है जिसने अपनी ताकत बढ़ा दी।
