Sukta 9.89
सिंहं नसन्त मध्वो अयासं हरिमरुषं दिवो अस्य पतिम् । शूरो युत्सु प्रथमः पृच्छते गा अस्य चक्षसा परि पात्युक्षा ॥
siṃháṃ nasanta mádhvo ayā́saṃ hárim aruṣáṃ divó asyá pátim | śū́ro yútsu prathamáḥ pṛ́cchate gā́ asyá cákṣasā pári pāty ukṣā́ ||
મધુર મધુથી અયાસ—અથાક—સિંહ સમા તેઓ તેની પાસે આવે છે; હરિત-સુવર્ણ, અરુણ, આ દ્યૌનો સ્વામી. યુદ્ધોમાં શૂર, પ્રથમ, તે ગાઓ—કિરણ-રશ્મિઓ—ને શોધે છે; પોતાની દૃષ્ટિથી ઉક્ષા—વૃષભ-શક્તિ—ચારે તરફ પરિભ્રમણ કરે છે.
