eṣá syá sómaḥ pavate sahasrajíd hinvānáḥ vā́cam iṣirá̄m uṣárbudhám | índuḥ samudrám úd iyarti vāyúbhiḥ ā́ índrasya hā́rdi kalaśéṣu sīdati ||

Translation

આ સોમ જ પવિત્ર થઈ વહે છે—સહસ્રવિજયી; પ્રેરિત વાણી (વાચ્)ને આગળ ધપાવતો, તીક્ષ્ણ અને ઉષા-જાગૃત કરનાર. તેજસ્વી ઇન્દુ વાયુઓ સાથે સમુદ્રને ઊંચે ઉછાળે છે અને ઇન્દ્રના હૃદયમાં રહેલા કલશો (પાત્રો)માં આવી સ્થિર થાય છે.
