शग्धी न इन्द्र यत्त्वा रयिं यामि सुवीर्यम् । शग्धि वाजाय प्रथमं सिषासते शग्धि स्तोमाय पूर्व्य ॥

śagdhī na indra yát tvā rayíṃ yā́mi su-vī́ryam | śagdhí vājā́ya prathamáṃ sisāsate śagdhí stomā́ya pū́rvya ||

હે ઇન્દ્ર, અમારે માટે સમર્થ થા; કારણ કે હું તારી પાસે રયિ—સમૃદ્ધિ—માટે આવું છું, જે સુવીર્ય—ઉત્તમ વીર્ય, આત્મબળ—રૂપ છે. પ્રયત્નશીલ જન માટે વાજ—બળ અને પૂર્ણતા—ની પ્રથમ જીત માટે સમર્થ થા; અને અમારા પ્રાચીન સ્તોમ—સ્તુતિગીત—માટે પણ સમર્થ થા.
