Sukta 7.83
वृत्राण्यन्यः समिथेषु जिघ्नते व्रतान्यन्यो अभि रक्षते सदा । हवामहे वां वृषणा सुवृक्तिभिरस्मे इन्द्रावरुणा शर्म यच्छतम् ॥
vṛtrā́ṇy anyáḥ samithéṣu jíghnate vratā́ny anyó abhí rakṣate sádā | havā́mahe vāṃ vṛṣaṇā suvṛ́ktibhir asmé indrāvaruṇā śárma yacchatam ||
યુદ્ધોમાં તમામાંનો એક વૃત્ર-આવરણોને ઘાયલ કરી નાશ કરે છે; બીજો સદા ઋતના વ્રતોનું રક્ષણ કરે છે. હે વૃષણો, સુવક્તિભિઃ અમે તમને આહ્વાન કરીએ છીએ—હે ઇન્દ્ર-વરুণ, અમને શર્મ, શાંતિ અને આશ્રય આપો.
