Sukta 5.32
त्यस्य चिन्महतो निर्मृगस्य वधर्जघान तविषीभिरिन्द्रः । य एक इदप्रतिर्मन्यमान आदस्मादन्यो अजनिष्ट तव्यान् ॥
tyásya cin maható nirmṛgásya vádhar jaghāna táviṣībhir índraḥ | yá éka íd apratír mányamāna ā́d asmā́d anyó ajaniṣṭa távyān ||
તે મહાન્ નિર્મૃગ—મુક્ત વિહરતો ‘વન્ય’—તેનો સંહારક પ્રહાર ઇન્દ્રે પોતાની પ્રચંડ શક્તિઓથી ચકનાચૂર કર્યો. કારણ કે જે પોતાને એકલો જ, અપ્રતિસ્પર્ધી માની બેઠો હતો—તેમાંથી (અથવા તેના પછી) વધુ તવીષી, વધુ બળવાન બીજો ઉત્પન્ન થયો.
