Sukta 3.34
इन्द्रः स्वर्षा जनयन्नहानि जिगायोशिग्भिः पृतना अभिष्टिः । प्रारोचयन्मनवे केतुमह्नामविन्दज्ज्योतिर्बृहते रणाय ॥
índraḥ svaḥ-ṣā́ janáyan áhāni jigā́yośíg-bhiḥ pṛ́tanā abhiṣṭíḥ | prā́rocayan mánave ketúm áhṇām ávindaj jyótir bṛhaté ráṇāya ||
ઇન્દ્રે સ્વર-લોક (સૂર્ય-લોક) જીત્યો અને દિવસોને જન્મ આપ્યો; અગ્નિસમાન તીવ્ર શોધકો સાથે તેણે યુદ્ધો જીત્યાં—આક્રમણમાં સહાયક બની. મનુ માટે તેણે દિવસોના ચિહ્નને પ્રકાશિત કર્યું; અને મહાસંગ્રામ માટે વિશાળ જ્યોતિને તેણે શોધી કાઢી.
