Sukta 2.4
नू ते पूर्वस्यावसो अधीतौ तृतीये विदथे मन्म शंसि । अस्मे अग्ने संयद्वीरं बृहन्तं क्षुमन्तं वाजं स्वपत्यं रयिं दाः ॥
nū́ te pū́rvasyā́vaso ádhītau tṛtī́ye vidáthe mánma śaṃsi | asmé agne saṃyád-vī́raṃ bṛhántam kṣú-mantaṃ vā́jaṃ svapátyaṃ rayíṃ dāḥ ||
હવે, તારા પ્રાચીન સહાયના પ્રવાહમાં, ત્રીજા વિદથમાં હું મારી મંત્ર-વાણી પ્રગટ કરું છું. હે અગ્નિ, અમને સંયત વીરોની સમૂહ-શક્તિ આપ—વિશાળ, તેજસ્વી સમૃદ્ધિ; વાજ (વિજયી પૂર્ણતાનો બળ) સાથે સુપત્ય (સુશાસન/સુપ્રભુત્વ) અને રયિ—અંતરંગ ધનની સંપત્તિ—આપ.
