Sukta 2.23
देवाश्चित्ते असुर्य प्रचेतसो बृहस्पते यज्ञियं भागमानशुः । उस्रा इव सूर्यो ज्योतिषा महो विश्वेषामिज्जनिता ब्रह्मणामसि ॥
devā́ś cit te asurya prá-cetaso bṛ́haspate yajñíyaṃ bhāgám ānaśuḥ | usrā́ iva sū́ryo jyótiṣā mahó víśveṣām íj janitā́ bráhmaṇām asi ||
હે બૃહસ્પતે, તેજસ્વી અસુર્ય (પ્રાણશક્તિમય) પ્રચેતા! દેવતાઓ પણ તારા દ્વારા જ પોતાનો યજ્ઞિય ભાગ પ્રાપ્ત કરે છે. ઉષાના ગાયો સમા મહાન પ્રકાશથી સૂર્ય જેમ પ્રકાશે છે તેમ, તું સર્વ મંત્રોનો જ જનિતા છે—બ્રહ્મ (વાણી)નો સર્વ શક્તિઓમાં સર્જક સ્ત્રોત.
