Sukta 2.23
अदेवेन मनसा यो रिषण्यति शासामुग्रो मन्यमानो जिघांसति । बृहस्पते मा प्रणक्तस्य नो वधो नि कर्म मन्युं दुरेवस्य शर्धतः ॥
adévena mánasā yó riṣaṇyáti śāsā́m ugró mányamāno jíghāṃsati | bṛ́haspate mā́ práṇaktasya no vadhó ní karma manyúṃ durévasya śárdhataḥ ||
જે કોઈ અદેવ મનથી અમને હાનિ પહોંચાડવા ધાવે, શાસનમાં ઉગ્ર બની, પોતાને મહાબળવાન માનીને ઘાત કરવા ઇચ્છે—હે બૃહસ્પતિ, તેની ઘાતક આઘાત અમ સુધી ન પહોંચે. દુર્વૃત્તિના મન્યુને અને તેની વૈરી ટોળીને તું નીચે પાડી દે.
