Sukta 2.2
ये स्तोतृभ्यो गोअग्रामश्वपेशसमग्ने रातिमुपसृजन्ति सूरयः । अस्माञ्च ताँश्च प्र हि नेषि वस्य आ बृहद्वदेम विदथे सुवीराः ॥
yé stotṛ́bhyo gó-agrām áśva-peśasam agne rātím upasṛjánti sū́rayaḥ | asmā́ṃś ca tā́ṃś ca prá hí néṣi vásyaḥ ā́ bṛhád vadema vidáthē su-vī́rāḥ ||
જે પ્રકાશિત દાતા સૂરીઓ સ્તોતાઓને રાતિ (દાન) મુક્ત કરે છે—જેનામાં પ્રકાશના કિરણો અગ્રસ્થાને છે અને જે અશ્વબળથી આવૃત છે—હે અગ્નિ, તેમને અને અમને બંનેને શ્રેષ્ઠ કલ્યાણ તરફ આગળ દોરી જા. યજ્ઞની વિદથ-સભાઓમાં અમે બૃહત્ (વિશાળ તત્ત્વ)નું વચન બોલીએ, સુવીરાઃ—વીર્યવાન આંતરિક શક્તિઓથી યુક્ત.
