अभीवर्तेन हविषा येनेन्द्रो अभिवावृते । तेनास्मान्ब्रह्मणस्पतेऽभि राष्ट्राय वर्तय ॥
જે વિજયકર હવિષ વડે ઇન્દ્રને સર્વથા વિજય તરફ વાળવામાં આવે છે, એ જ બળથી, હે બ્રહ્મણસ્પતિ (વાણીના સ્વામી), અમને રાષ્ટ્ર તરફ—ધર્મસંયમિત અધિપત્ય તરફ—અભિમુખ વાળ.

अभिवृत्य सपत्नानभि या नो अरातयः । अभि पृतन्यन्तं तिष्ठाभि यो न इरस्यति ॥
સપત્નોને—અને જે અમારે પર અહિત કરે તે શત્રુબળોને—આવરીને દબાવી દે; જે અમારે સામે યુદ્ધ કરે છે તેના ઉપર ઊભો રહેજે; અને જે અમને હાનિ કરવા ઇચ્છે છે તેના ઉપર પણ ઊભો રહેજે.

येनेन्द्रो हविषा कृत्व्यभवद्द्युम्न्युत्तमः । इदं तदक्रि देवा असपत्नः किलाभुवम् ॥
જે હવિષ વડે ઇન્દ્ર તેજસ્વી દ્યુમ્નમાં સર્વોત્તમ બન્યો—હે દેવો, એ જ કાર્ય તમે કર્યું છે; નિશ્ચયે હું સપત્નરહિત થયો છું, પ્રકાશના અખંડ વિજયમાં સ્થિર થયો છું.
