एवा नृभिरिन्द्रः सुश्रवस्या प्रखादः पृक्षो अभि मित्रिणो भूत् । समर्य इषः स्तवते विवाचि सत्राकरो यजमानस्य शंसः ॥
evā nṛ́bhir índraḥ suśravasyā́ prakhā́daḥ pṛ́kṣo abhí mitríṇo bhūt | samaryé íṣaḥ stavate vívāci satrā́karo yajamānasya śáṃsaḥ ||
એ રીતે, નરોમાં રહેલી શક્તિઓ સાથે, ઇન્દ્ર સુશ્રવસ્ય—સારા શ્રવણ અને તેજસ્વી યશ—નો આગળ ધપાવનાર ભેદક બને છે; તે મિત્રભાવવાળી શક્તિઓ સામે સામસામે આવે છે. સમરમાં બળની પ્રેરણાઓ બહુવિધ વાણીમાં સ્તવાય છે; યજમાનની પ્રશંસા સત્રાકાર—સીધી, અવિચ્છિન્ન ધારા રચનાર—બને છે.
