Atma Upanishad 2 — Verse 2

जगद्रूपतयाप्येतद्ब्रह्मैव प्रतिभासते । विद्याविद्यादिभेदेन भावाभावादिभेदतः॥२॥

Padapatha (Word Split)

जगत्-रूपतया । अपि । एतत् । ब्रह्म । एव । प्रतिभासते । विद्या-अविद्या-आदिभेदेन । भाव-अभाव-आदिभेदतः ॥ २ ॥

IAST Transliteration

jagadrūpatayāpy etad brahmaiva pratibhāsate | vidyāvidyādibhedena bhāvābhāvādibhedataḥ ||2||

Translation

Selbst in der Gestalt der Welt erscheint dies als Brahman allein—durch die Unterscheidung von Wissen und Nichtwissen, durch die Unterscheidung von Sein und Nichtsein und dergleichen.

Academic Translation

Even in the form of the world, this is Brahman alone that appears—through the division of knowledge and ignorance, through the division of being and non-being, and the like.
