तमु ष्टवाम यं गिर इन्द्रमुक्थानि वावृधुः । पुरूण्यस्य पौंस्या सिषासन्तो वनामहे ॥
Transliteration
tám u ṣṭavāma yáṃ gíra índram ukthā́ni vāvṛdhúḥ | purū́ṇy asyá paúṃsyā sisā́santo vanāmahe ||
Translation
Ihn wollen wir preisen — Indra, den Worte und feierliche Sprüche (ukthāni) erstarken ließen. Nach seinen vielen Manneskräften (paúṃsyā) verlangend, ringen wir darum, sie als unser Eigen zu gewinnen: die Mächte sieghaften Seins.
