Sukta 8.3
निरग्नयो रुरुचुर्निरु सूर्यो निः सोम इन्द्रियो रसः । निरन्तरिक्षादधमो महामहिं कृषे तदिन्द्र पौंस्यम् ॥
nír agnáyo rurucuḥ nír u sū́ryo níḥ sóma indriyó ráso | nír antárikṣād adhamo mahā́m áhíṃ kṛṣé tád indra paúṃsyam ||
Hervor leuchteten die Feuer; hervor stieg die Sonne; hervor floss Soma, der Saft der indriischen Kraft. Aus dem Zwischenraum zogst du von unten die große Schlange hervor: dies, o Indra, ist deine Manneskraft, deine sieghafte Potenz.
