आ क्षोदो महि वृतं नदीनां परिष्ठितमसृज ऊर्मिमपाम् । तासामनु प्रवत इन्द्र पन्थां प्रार्दयो नीचीरपसः समुद्रम् ॥

Transliteration

ā́ kṣódo mahí vṛtáṃ nadī́nāṃ pári-sthitam asṛja ū́rmim apā́m | tā́sām ánu prá-vata índra pánthāṃ prā́rdayo nī́cīr ápasaḥ samudrám ||

Translation

Du triebst die große Schranke fort, die die Flüsse umschloss, und ließest die Woge der Wasser frei. Ihrem abwärts gerichteten Lauf folgend, o Indra, bahntest du ihnen den Weg; du drängtest die Wasser hinab zum Ozean der Fülle.
