एवाँ अग्निं वसूयवः सहसानं ववन्दिम । स नो विश्वा अति द्विषः पर्षन्नावेव सुक्रतुः ॥

evā́ṃ agníṃ vasū-yávaḥ sahasā́naṃ vavandima | sá no víśvā ati dvíṣaḥ párṣan nā́vāiva su-krátuḥ ||

So haben wir, die nach wahren Schätzen verlangen, Agni, den Gewaltigen, verehrt. Möge er, von gutem und rechtem Willen, uns über alle Feindschaften und feindlichen Mächte hinübertragen, wie ein Schiff hinüberträgt.
