Sukta 3.34
इन्द्रः स्वर्षा जनयन्नहानि जिगायोशिग्भिः पृतना अभिष्टिः । प्रारोचयन्मनवे केतुमह्नामविन्दज्ज्योतिर्बृहते रणाय ॥
índraḥ svaḥ-ṣā́ janáyan áhāni jigā́yośíg-bhiḥ pṛ́tanā abhiṣṭíḥ | prā́rocayan mánave ketúm áhṇām ávindaj jyótir bṛhaté ráṇāya ||
Indra, der die Sonnenwelt (svar) gewann, ließ die Tage geboren werden; mit den feurigen Suchern besiegte er die Schlachten – Helfer im Ansturm. Für Manu ließ er das Zeichen der Tage aufleuchten und fand das weite Licht für den großen Kampf.
