Transliteration

śagdhí vā́jasya subhaga prajā́vato’gne bṛható adhvaré | sáṃ rāyā́ bhū́yasā sṛja mayobhúnā tuv́idyumna yaśásvatā ||

Translation

Gewähre (śagdhí), o Agni, du Glückspendender, den Anteil an der Siegeskraft (vāja), reich an Nachkommenschaft und Geschlecht, im großen Opfergang (adhvará). Verbinde uns mit noch reichlicherem Gut (rāyá), mit der wonnebringenden Macht (mayobhū) — du weithin Ruhmreicher, weithin Leuchtender, du Preiswürdiger.
