अग्निं सूनुं सनश्रुतं सहसो जातवेदसम् । वह्निं देवा अकृण्वत ॥
Transliteration
agníṃ sūnúṃ sanaśrútaṃ sáhaso jā́tavedasam | váhniṃ devā́ akṛṇvata ||
Translation
Agni, der Sohn des Sahas (der Kraft), von alters her gerühmt, Jātavedas, der die Geburten kennt — ihn machten die Götter zum Vahni, zur tragenden Macht, zum Träger. So begründen die göttlichen Mächte in uns das Feuer, das Opfergabe und Werden zu tragen vermag.
