विश्वस्मा अग्निं भुवनाय देवा वैश्वानरं केतुमह्नामकृण्वन् । आ यस्ततानोषसो विभातीरपो ऊर्णोति तमो अर्चिषा यन् ॥

Transliteration

viśvasmā agniṃ bhuvanāya devā vaiśvānaraṃ ketum ahnām akṛṇvan | ā yas tatānoṣaso vibhātīr apo ūrṇoti tamo arciṣā yan ||

Translation

Für die ganze Welt machten die Götter Agni, Vaiśvānara, zum Banner der Tage. Er ist es, der die leuchtenden Uṣas ausgebreitet hat; schreitend hüllt er mit seiner Flamme die Finsternis ein und nimmt sie hinweg.
