Sukta 10.44
एवैवापागपरे सन्तु दूढ्योऽश्वा येषां दुर्युज आयुयुज्रे । इत्था ये प्रागुपरे सन्ति दावने पुरूणि यत्र वयुनानि भोजना ॥
eváivāpā́g ápare santu dūḍhyò 'śvā yéṣāṃ duryúja āyuyujré | itthā́ yé prā́g upáre sánti dā́vane purū́ṇi yátra vayúnāni bhójanā ||
So sollen wahrlich die anderen zurückbleiben und niedergehalten sein — jene, deren Pferde schlecht angeschirrt sind und sich nicht recht einspannen lassen. Die aber, die vorn und höher sind, sind zum Spenden vieler Gaben: dort, wo die geordneten Einsichten (vayunāni) die Genüsse sind.
